User Agreement & Terms

Organization: The Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-governmental 501 (c) (3) organization based in Washington, D.C., that focuses on social and economic development in Latin America and the Caribbean. PADF�s website(s) and other materials are designed to further its mission. PADF is an affiliate of the Organization of American States (OAS).

Privacy: A visitor to PADF�s websites may do so without registering or revealing any personal information. A visitor may decide to give PADF personal information via the Internet for the purposes of correspondence, processing a donation and/or subscript to an electronic publication. Information provided by any user will not be given to third parties for any commercial use. PADF may collaborate with other organizations that have similar goals and missions, and to that end PADF may provide relevant information.

Security Protection: Personal information will not be provided to a third party of any commercial use. Any credit card donations received electronically via this website are processed by PNC Bank and subject to that institution�s security measures.

Content: Unless otherwise stated, all content � including text, photographs, design, presentation and more � in this website are the property of the PADF. If you would like to use any content, please see the section on �Usage� listed below.

Video: The video contained within this website is the sole property of PADF and as such it exercises all rights to limit its distribution based solely on its decision.

Logo: The PADF logo and the �I Too Am Haiti� campaign name belong entirely to PADF and cannot be used without prior written permission, except when cited by the media.

Usage: Visitors to this website may cite portions of the content for educational or non-commercial purposes only if it relates to providing support to relief and/or development programs or promotion of this website to interested parties. Usage is subject to the limitations noted in the Consequences section of this document.

Electronic Postings: PADF may provide space in its website(s) for users and third parties to post personal comments. PADF does not preview, pre-screen or pre-edit any third party electronic postings to its website(s). Although they appear on a PADF website, such postings do not reflect the opinions or policies of PADF Board of Trustees, PADF staff members, PADF supporters, PADF supporters or other guests. PADF may, at its sole discretion, remove any posting that it feels is inappropriate. PADF may, at its sole discretion and without notice, discontinue any channels on its website(s) that allow third party postings.

Consequences: Third parties that post comments to any PADF website shall defend, indemnify and hold harmless PADF, Board of Trustees, officers, employees, and agents and their third party content providers from any claims, losses or expenses arising from or in connection with any submissions. In no event with PADF, its Board of Trustees, employees and/or agents be liable to any individual, organization, government or any other third party for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages from use of any material on its website(s) even if PADF has been advised or made aware of the possibility of such damages.

Shared Links: Interested third parties may provide links to PADF�s website(s) for the purpose of promoting the content and/or its campaign(s). If PADF deems a linking website to be inappropriate, it will ask and expect such website to immediately discontinue such link.  By providing a shared link to a PADF website(s), the third party website agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless PADF, its Board of Trustees and employees from and against any loss, liability, claim, demand, damages, costs and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of or in connection with a shared link, any links, content or other items or materials which may be shared or posted through such share link, or any breach or alleged breach of the foregoing representations and warranties.

Cookies: PADF may employ the use of "cookies" to store user information. A cookie cannot retrieve any other data from a user�s hard drive. A cookie cannot pass on computer viruses. A cookie cannot capture your email address. Websites use cookies to securely store a user's ID and password, personalize home pages and more. PADF may also use cookies in order to study usage of its websites, track a user�s visit and enhance the website for future visitors.

Changes: PADF reserves the right to change its User Agreement & Terms at anytime without prior notice. If you do not agreement with the User Agreement & Terms, it is your option to not use the website. Interested parties should feel free to communicate with PADF via other channels, including telephone and mail, to obtain information and/or make donations.

Donations: Please visit PADF�s page with information regarding donations, distribution, rights and registration information. Any credit card donations made via this website are processed by PNC Bank and subject to that institution�s security measures.
