Earthquake victims gather outside
Amidst rubble and damaged buildings, most Haitians remain outside in the days after the quake for fear of additional damage and aftershocks. As relief worker Daniel O�Neil explained, �They were afraid of a second quake�as if the earth shifted out of gear and now it needed to shift back in again and could cause a second quake.�
